01 / THE ORIGIN
Inspired by Kyoto’s Shijo Kawaramachi, Kyoto-born founder Shuya Tanaka drew from Japanese history and the ritual of matcha.

Stillness before the moment.
Samurai were known for discipline and determination. Before battle, warriors would leave their swords at the door and enter the quiet of a tea room. A bowl of pure matcha offered a ritual to reset, refocus and sharpen the mind.

In modern Japanese, kimeru can mean to decide, to nail it, or to get something exactly right. It is the moment your thoughts settle and your focus returns—not an escape from reality, but a clearer way to meet it.
